Our love begins where other people's ends.
Pug Hollow believes that every dog deserves to end his or her life with love, comfort, and compassion.
It is unfortunate, but often dogs are abandoned at shelters, vet offices, or on the side of the road when they become old or terminally ill.
Some of them were family pets who became inconvenient.
Others have never known what it's like to be part of a loving home.
Our mission is to provide as many of those dogs as possible with a safe, comfortable home where they will be loved and cared for as long as they live, and where they will be compassionately assisted across the Rainbow Bridge if necessary.
It started with a pug who had a massively complicated autoimmune disorder.
Today Pug Hollow is a home-based hospice and long-term care sanctuary for small dogs under 25 pounds who are either over 10 years old or terminally ill.
Sanctuary Statistics:
We have 20 residents in the Sanctuary right now.
Over the course of a year, we anticipate that 1 to 3 of our residents will cross the Rainbow Bridge
and be replaced with additional residents.
We have a 100% lifesaving percentage.
All of the dogs taken in by Pug Hollow Sanctuary become permanent lifetime residents of the Sanctuary.
